Steadier Ground: 12-Week Starter Program

  • 15 Steps
Course roadmap: four phases over 12 weeks (Prepare, Start, Refine, Sustain), with PJ's story running through every week

About

Steadier Ground is a 12-week, self-paced course for families who are new to medical cannabis and want to explore it carefully, with their child's clinician, as one support for nervous-system regulation. It's the online version of the starter program I run one-to-one with autistic and PDA families. Over four phases (Prepare, Start, Refine, Sustain), you'll learn: • How the endocannabinoid system works, and what the research does and doesn't show • How to choose a quality product and do the math on a label • How to start low, go slow, log what you see and know when to step back • How sleep, family rhythms and the home environment support regulation • How to turn it all into a plan you can keep Each week includes a chapter of my own story, from a late autism diagnosis at 43 to coaching other families; teaching grounded in published research; a small practice for home; what families commonly notice at that stage; and a short check-in to log and share with your clinician. Plan on 30 to 45 minutes a week, plus a few minutes a day for the log. This course teaches a method, not a prescription. It doesn't give dose schedules for children; that decision belongs to you and a qualified clinician. It is educational and is not medical advice. Families who want individual guidance can add 1:1 coaching with me.
